Emma's POV
I was so angry with myself for what I had said to Leo earlier. I shouldn't have brought up his sister, especially not in front of him. "That was a sensitive topic, Emma," Lita scolded me, and her words hit me hard.
She was the one who had told me about Leo’s sister, how she had been killed by a Soulless Bleeder, and that the man responsible was still out there, alive and well. My stomach twisted as I thought about it.
“I need to apologize to him,” I muttered, as I stepped out of the library, my feet heavy with guilt.
