Damon's POV My mind raced, but all I could do was grind my teeth and stand there, staring at the corpse at my feet. The man had gotten exactly what he deserved. Every damn bit of it. Darius. That bastard. How dare he turn one of my men against me? What was he playing at? “We wouldn’t know now,” Black said, his voice thick with sarcasm. “Well, I don’t know, maybe because someone couldn’t control his anger and ripped the bastard’s heart out.” I rolled my eyes and sneered, glaring down at the lifeless body. “Shut up, Black.” The heat in my chest rose again, like fire, and it had nothing to do with the knife wound in my chest. That pain was always there, but this? This was different. It was a sharp ache, like someone had just ripped out a piece of me, and I had no clue what it meant. B
