Chapter 41

While everyone on the deep sleep, Mathew is thinking about the journey that what was going in the coming days and slowly fell asleep. 

All of sudden large wind flow came towards them but no one noticed the wind and still sleeping. Suddenly sand flew in air very high and fell on them as of some one dropped the sand on them.

Every one wake up at once and saw around that what was happened and why the sand was fall on them and by seeing the situation every one shocked that it was sand cyclone.

"O my God, it's sandstorm !! ", Jack said

"What is that ?", Mack asked

"Thunderstorms frequently produce strong winds that can blow loose sand and dirt from the ground, causing a large wall of dust and debris, or a dust storm. Generally these type of Dust storms are also called as haboobs are unexpected, unpredictable and can sweep across desert landscape at any time. ", Jack said

"Not only that but Sandstorms occur when winds strengthen to the point where they're able to lift grains of sand off the ground and blow them through the air. They tend to happen most frequently in sandy areas, such as deserts and these sandstorms are quite common in this type of Desert areas .", Mathew explained them

"Can a sandstorm kill us ?", Benjamin asked

"Sandstorms are violent wind storms that occur often in the deserts. ... While these winds won't kill you, they frequently cause auto accidents as a result of the blinding effect of the sand unless it becomes serious, when it is serious then it may lead to death as we are going to get stuck in the sand by the force of the air . ", Jack said

"Unless it become serious, it causes accidents like collisions. In desert areas without sealed roads and road signs, getting lost is a severe risk. For people, being exposed to a sandstorm poses serious health threats. The sand and dust can get into the eyes, mouth, nose, and lungs, which can cause breathing difficulties and infections when we stuck in the sand and it may lead us to death. ", Mathew said

"So what should we do now ?", Clara asked

"Let me think for a while ", Mathew said

Mathew searched here and there for the escape plan that something would help them and he noticed that the sandstorm occurred at the place where they are standing right now and also he noticed that the sandstorm is not occurred at the other side of the river. 

"Here listen carefully, we have to cross the river right now by any chance ", Mathew said

"But it's not possible for us to cross it at this time and also the water flow is very high. We may drown in that water ", Jack said

"Yes I know that but, if we are still here also we may loose our life's as the sandstorm was going to severe in few more minutes I think so and need to escape from this place right now ", Mathew said

"But how can we escape from here ?", Benjamin asked

"I purchased every thing but missed the rope, if we had it then I can plan for the escape ", Mathew said

"Mathew we had the rope with us ", Jack said

"Ok good good, give me that ", Mathew asked

Jack gave the rope to Mathew which was very big and heavy. Mathew then think for a while and observing the place of the other side of the river and he got an idea . . .

Mathew gently wraps the rope around his waist and ties it tightly without losing it and the remaining were looking into him as they were not able to understand what he was going to do the next moment and he was asking others to wait for a while when they were trying to ask him what he was doing, So every one silently observing Mathew that what he was going to do and every one have trust on him that he will be going to save them by any way . .

"So every one listen very carefully, I am going to cross the river first with the help of this rope and you all keep hold this tightly with out loosing it other wise I may drown in the water and my death body will float some where else ", Mathew said

"Shhhhh shut up Mathew, nothing will happen to you and I never leave you alone ", Clara said

"Thank you Clara ", Mathew said by smiling a little 

"You are utmost welcome Mathew ", Clara said

"Ok ok let's begin our journey, come one hold this rope tightly until I reached the other side of the river and pull me back immediately if I have drown in it ", Mathew said

"Ok we will do it, but be care full Mathew ", every one said one by one to Mathew 

He then step out his right leg into the river and starting itself he slipped slightly but he balanced well and did not fell in the river. By seeing this Clara cried out loudly as Mathew careful and suddenly she said

"Mathew wait ", 

Mathew then turned back and saw her what happened to her and why she cried out like that. She then moved towards him and said

"Mathew, I also come with you ", 

"What no way, did you understand what risk I was going to take now ?", Mathew said in anger

"Please Mathew Please ... ... ... ", Clara begged him for some time and Mathew accepted her to come with him as she was feared and she will be alright only if I am with her and also there is no time to think for much time. So he tied the rope to her also and started moving towards the river.

The two stepped into the river and they felt that the water force is very high and they may slip in the water at any time and Mathew is shouted with loud voice that here the water force is very high and may happen any thing at any time please be aware and cautious and be alert . . .

The two were placing their steps one by one very carefully as they can not see into the water that what was there in the river like fishes, small stones or snakes or snares or any thing else. Mathew asking Clara about her comfort the every moment while moving forward .. ..

Mathew stepped his leg into the water hardly, balancing and removing the other leg and at the same time he was holding Clara too with great difficulty. Clara hold his hand very tightly that she may slip if she loosen his hand. She also stepping his leg as instructed by Mathew very carefully. 

All of a sudden Clara shouted very loudly . . .

"What what happened Clara, why did you shouted like that ?", Mathew asked by fearing what happened to her

"Hmmm . . haaa . . that . . that I saw something in the dark over there ", Clara said by fearing a lot 

"What did you saw ?", Mathew said

"I . . I don't know ", Clara said

"How was it by the look ?", Mathew said

"It was completely dark like . . like a human ", Clara said

"Ok don't worry and don't be afraid, nothing will harm you unless you have the locket in your neck ", Mathew said by comforting her

"Ok, but it's was scaring me ", Clara said

"No it will not harm you, those will only scare you that's it ", Mathew said by giving her courage

She then some what settled by his words and started moving forwards again and yet they have to go half of the distance . . 

After moving a few more steps she again shouted loudly . . 

"Now what happened ?", Mathew asked

"Something hit my leg and something seemed to be holding my leg ", Clara said

"Is still feeling the same as something still holding your leg ?", Mathew said

"Yes ", Clara said

"Ok wait, be strong and stand still with out moving until I get back to you ", Mathew said

"Where are you going ?", Clara asked

"I am not going any where, I am just going to bend down and look into your legs ", Mathew said

"Ok, but be careful Mathew ", Clara said

Remaining members also shouting from the outside of the river that What happened Mathew ?. . .

"No nothing, we are alright ", Mathew replied to them

"Ok be careful ", Mack said

"Yeah Ok ", Mathew said and bent down and touched her leg to see what was holding and by seeing that he was shocked and has no words to speak

"What happened Mathew, what hold my leg ?", Clara said

"No nothing some fish ", Mathew said and throw it far away with out showing her

But Mathew was still in shock that he saw some strange fish that looks like human hand, it's complete body is white with ears, nose and a very small mouth. It was looking very dangerous and we saw it in sudden then we think that it was some one's hand that it has fingers like human and it was sized until the wrist of a human being. It seems very horrible to see it and touch it and Mathew did not show it to Clara as she may panic by seeing it and he thought they have to reach the other side of the river as quick as possible . . .

He fasten up his steps and Clara got doubt that why he was in hurry in this water flow . . . 

"Mathew what happened and what did you saw in the water. Come on tell me ", Clara asked

"Nothing, I already said right it's a fish ", Mathew said with out stop moving

"No Mathew, you are again hiding some thing from me. I can take it tell me Mathew ", Clara asked him very confidently that he was hiding some thing that she may fear by seeing that

"I will tell you after we reached the destination ", Mathew said

"So, you saw some thing right ?", Clara asked

"Yes ", Mathew said

After few minutes with very hard trail the two reached the destination while Clara slipped in the water one or two times and Mathew saved her by catching her tightly with out loosing his balance. And it's a great effort by Mathew and every one thought the same whose standing near the shore . . . 

After the two reached other side, Mathew tied the rope very tightly to the tree which was very closer to the river by removing it from his waist and sighed others to move forward towards them by taking utmost care and shouted loudly that be very careful and don't loose hope by any chance . . .
