Alyssa pov

I awoke the next morning later than i wanted to sleep, my alarm didn't go off, i didn't set the dang thing before i fell asleep, damn it. i hurried to shower, dry off, and quickly got dressed, i didn't give my hair time to dry, i just put it in a messy bun, i ran out of the room down the stairs outside to the grandhall, i ran into the doors just as my mom and her friends were talking and walking toward them,

“Mom, i am so sorry, I slept in, did you get everything done, did they help you. are you okay?" mom excused her friends because she wanted to talk to me, goddess lets just hope dad didn't see Lexus walking out of my room last night, nothing had happened, he had stopped it and gave me this beautiful ring, I sat down in the chair mom sat next to me, i knew it was coming the talk, shaking my head i waited for her to start,

“So, is there anything you are wanting to tell me young lady, i know you will be eighteen next week, but breaking the rules of the house is a no go. If your father had seen him leaving your room last night, he would have been thrown out," I knew she was right. but nothing happened, the only thing i could do was just take a slow deep breath and let it out, then i begin my story, and even thought she might not believe me, i will just show her the ring, it's not an engagement ring, even though it sure looks like it, it's just a promise ring, i turned my chair so i can look at her, she had the most beautiful blue eyes, she didn't look mad at all, she was smiling, but i also know that smile can still mean anger,

“Mom, you might not believe me, but nothing happened in my room last night, i was going to go to his room and well play around a bit before we have to go our separate ways, but he had other plans, i came out of the bathroom and he was sitting at the edge of my bed, he gave me something, and i thought i should give him something in return, but he stopped me. all we did was hold each other and slept, i didn't even know when he left my room because i was sleeping,” i hope she believed me and not ask what i had thought to do in return,. that would be embarrassing, and i rather not tell her what i was going to do,

‘And what did he give you that you would even think you had to do something in return? And please do not tell me what you were going to do. I would rather not hear about my daughter's s*x life." I was so thankful that she had said that last part. Because I would have been so embarrassed, I held out my hand so she could see the ruby ring he had given me last night. She held my hand in hers, and I could feel the warmth of her hand. She looked at it and turned my hand from left to right. She slowly looked at me,

“Is this an engagement ring?” shaking my head and only smiled at my mother, she would think that, but it does look like one, and if it was i could not give him answer right now,

“No mom, it's not, it's a promise ring that we will be married someday soon. He gave it to me last night, and then he pulled me into bed and laid me on his chest. I fell asleep. that's the only thing that had happened, i promise, when i awoke i rushed to shower so i can hurry up and get here, i forgot to set my alarm last night, so is there anything else left to do,”

“Yes there is actually some stuff left to do, but i wanted you and i to do it, I want us to spend some time together before you leave.”

“Mom, i'm not going to leave until next week, and then after that we will still see each other, i'm not going to stay away and neither are you or dad. it's not like i'm going to be moving a million miles away mom, it's just a few hours, that's all,” i reached over and held my moms hands in mine, My mom was everything to me, if anything ever happened to her i would not know what to do. I feel the same way about my father, he has taught me so much. they have been there with me through it all heart break, when i started getting my powers, and when i felt like i was going crazy when i kept hearing people's thoughts and didn't know how to shut it off, they helped me so much, and now my mom is having my little brother Bass, soon to be alpha, when he is of age of course, i knew it would be soon time to start getting ready, but i wanted to check up on Conny, and Cindy, i knew they were worried about tonight, they would be wearing mask tonight, i thought they should just wear wigs, but they had rather used mask., When we finally got back outside, I saw Cindy with Helm, she was hugging him bye for his shift, all guards will have short shifts tonight, since there were alot of them tonight, we have four packs on this ground, not to mention serval are in hotels, so there taking turns and then they will be surrounding the pack house and the land with the grandhall,

“mom i'm going to go talk to Cindy for a few minutes i'll be inside in a few okay,” she nodded and hugged me tightly, i'm glad we have these talks, i walked over to where Cindy was standing, she was standing on the porch watching Helm walk toward the woods, she had a worried look on her face,

“Hey Cindy, What's wrong, are you okay,”

“Yeah, I'm okay, I'm just worried that he might get hurt or attacked while he's on duty, I'm just glad he won't be working tonight he will be with me, So, what's going on? is there any changes that we should know about?” We both walked inside their house, i never been in Helms home before, and it really looked nice, i loved the fire place and the bearskin rug, that was in front of it,

“Na, there's no change at all, I was just wanting to come over to make sure you're okay, I know you and Conny still do not have the sister bond back up. but i understand, she has to wear that necklace until its the right time to take it off, is she ready for tonight?”

“I'm really not sure, her and Ming have been spending time together alot lately, i think he's worried that Reid will come and destroy everything including all of us,” I knew what she meant, it scares me to, I am the one that he is after because all he wants is power, he wants to force Conner to marry me, but we all have mates, how can i marry anyone else but my mate, i know Conner feels the same, so hopefully our plan will be working when he gets here, Mariah and I look almost alike, we spend so much time together, so He will be with her and announce the engagement, One of the elders will be here tonight, he knows everything that has been going on, so he will be marrying them. She will be dressed like me, but wearing a different color dress. mine is a lite purple, hers is a black dress, our hair will be the same, sooni it was time for me to head back to the house, i knew Lexus had some work to do, so he was working in his room most of the day with his Beta, His beta came this morning with his laptop and paperwork he had to look over. So when he gets done, he will come find me, i didn't want to bother him while he's doing his pack work, I was heading to my room to take another shower, and to start getting ready, things like this takes time for a female to get ready for, and i wanted to look perfect for tonight, I was walking toward my room when his beta stopped me, he was charming fellow, he had dark skin with green eyes he stood about 5.6 with shoulder length red hair, he looked muscular, he hurried over to me and bowed,

“Luna, Alpha has been asking about you, he wanted to show you a few things,”

“I am no luna yet sir, not until i am at his home, and have the ceremony,” he chuckled softly at me, then held my hand to his lips and kissed the top of my hand then letting go of it,

“We do not do ceremonies luna, he has already marked you, so that makes you our luna. Will you please come to his room with me,” sighing i had so much to do to get ready, but Lexus wanted to see me, and i haven’t seen him all day, So i walked across the hall with him to lexus room, he opened the door and there he was busy on his laptop, i was about to leave because he was busy, when he spoke to his beta,

“Thank you Berk, Alyssa will you please come here, i want to show you something honey,” this made me curious to know what he had to show me, so i walked over and sat beside him, what he was showing me was the photos of his pack house and land, his house was beautiful, His house was brown with black trim around it, he had gardens on the side of the house, and the land that i could see was huge, i wish i could see even more, i was already in love with it, he showed me photos of his pack members, he told me it wasn’t all of them. then he showed me his business, and his banks that he owns,

‘Lexus, why are you showing me all of this? i'm not trying to be a smart a$$, i am just wanting to know.``

“Doesn't your mom know everything that your father does, doesn’t she know his business and his bank accounts, and everything he does on the computer and work that he does?”

“ i nodded and said yes of course she does, She knows everything that dad does around here, that way she can do it too, dad had trained her on how to do the computer and the paperwork she also goes to meetings with him and luna meetings, so is this 5what you want me to do is learn what you do?” He nodded smiling at me, that i understood what he wanted to do with me,

‘Yes, Of course honey, what way to start is now, i know the party is tonight, and you need to get ready for it, i just wanted to show you a few things, at first when you get home with me, there's going to be a lot to do, meeting the pack, getting to know them, helping me with the paperwork and computer stuff, but you will learn in time, and yes we will have a ceremony to have you a member of the pack, and my luna and soon to be wife. i want you to know everything, i'm not going to hide things from you, that's not a way to start things off, am i correct,” Was this man forreal this man is a true gentleman, and wants me to know everything,

‘Yes you are correct, I sat there for a few more hours learning of the alphas he has meetings with including my father, he told me of the ones that weren’t very friendly, but are his best friends, he showed me some of the rogues that he had fault with, and his best warriors and fighters, and guards, he had so much, we didn't realize what time it was until his beta came back into the room,

“Alpha, it's time to start getting ready, the other packs are arriving, and we need to get ready for the danger,” we stood up quickly i was having so much fun that i forgot about the dance,

‘Go get ready love, i will be waiting downstairs for you,” I nodded and left his room. I needed to shower and start getting ready, So this is what a Luna is all about.
