Naerin delivered Siana home and walked away. He felt her watch him go, felt her eyes on him and wondered what it meant. They were two people locked in an uncomfortable dance and he had no idea what the steps were. He was also terrible at personal cues which left him standing in the pool of light from a streetlamp and trying not to panic. He was normally a solitary person, he liked patrolling the borders of Winter Haven. He loved the solitude and the silence and the ability to do what he wished when he wished as long as his duties were performed admirably and on time. Then Siana had walked into town, cold and wet and through one of the angriest storms he'd ever had to call up. She was strong and he was deeply suspicious of the entire thing.
