When Siana woke up again she felt much better. The yawning, gnawing emptiness that had been chewing on her insides was greatly reduced and her headache was almost gone. She was sore in other ways, ways that made her smile when she moved. She raised herself to look down at Naerin and softness filled her, spreading from her soul. He was so good to her, both in bed and out of it. He hadn't been angry at her when she came back and had cared for her as she recovered. Siana laid back down and curled around Naerin, tucking her head into his neck and sighing. She didn't want this to end, wanted to stay here with him forever and let the outside world go wherever it liked. But she couldn't, she had a responsibility to this plane, to these people, to the role that she'd agreed to. She didn't resent
