The Hide out

202 Words
We reached a secluded cabin nestled in the woods, a remote hideout owned by the Rossi family. The cabin was small and rustic, but it offered a temporary refuge from the chaos of the city. Alessandro parked the motorcycle and led me inside. The cabin was cold and dark, the air thick with the smell of damp wood. He lit a fire in the fireplace, the flames casting a warm glow across the room. We sat in silence, the only sound the crackling of the fire. Alessandro stared into the flames, his expression hard, his eyes filled with a distant sadness. I hate that I love you. "What now?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. He turned to me, his eyes filled with a chilling intensity. "Now," he said, his voice cold, "we survive." He stood up, his movements stiff, his expression hard. "I'm going to check the perimeter," he said, his voice laced with a cold determination. "Stay here." He left the cabin, disappearing into the darkness. I sat by the fire, my mind reeling, my heart aching. I was trapped, caught between my duty and my love, between the man I had betrayed and the man I couldn't forget.
