After my morning lesson with Starstruck, I hop off the saddle, brush him, then send him into the pasture to graze. I have an hour before I start working my next horse, but I also need to eat. Before making my way to the B&B, Dad stops me in my tracks. “Kaitlyn!” he shouts from his office. I huff, then turn around and walk back toward him. “Yes?” I ask, looking at my smartwatch, hoping he catches the hint that I’m pressed for time. “This came,” he says, grabbing an envelope and handing it to me.
