On the way to Alexandria, Jane feigned a nap in the car.
After helping Stryker and Sam talk their way out of police custody, she and Rey had dropped them at Cairo West Air Base, an Egyptian base utilized by the US military. Per Stryker’s command, she and Rey had jumped back in the car and headed to Cleopatra’s underwater palace.
As they drove, she fantasized again about kissing Rey. The energy between them while they’d waited for the others at the lighthouse had nearly made her lose her senses. It was palpable, the electricity she felt when he was near. She’d wanted to kiss him then. Instead, she’d forced herself back to business.
