When Angie finished her cleaning shift, she was escorted back to her cell. She’d gotten no more glimpses of her daughter from the window.
With only water for an evening meal, she and Luna sat on the bottom bunk under their blankets and compared notes. Working all day without food made Angie feel exhausted.
