After ordering Rey and Jane back to lookout duty, Stryker followed Richmond away from the archeologist’s tent to the north door of the temple enclosure. Sam accompanied them—she had done well to take over the conversation when it was clear he wasn’t getting anywhere.
Stryker squinted against the brightness of the day. A petite woman wearing a patterned pink headscarf and matching jacket stood to greet them. Professor Saber. Richmond stalked off as soon as he made the introductions.
