Chapter Twenty-Nine
‘Why do you look sad?’ John asked her. Anna took the phone off her ear. ‘I just got a call from Taiwo,’ she informed him. ‘What did she say?’ ‘She said that Hayley isn’t with her.’ Worry shot through him. ‘She isn’t with her? Where is she then?’ ‘She doesn’t know,’ she sniffled. ‘She also said means things. John I’m scared. I’ve tried calling her number and it’s switched off. What if something has happened? She called the night before yesterday and Taiwo said she had left her house since Friday afternoon.’ ‘Why did she leave?’ ‘Taiwo chased her out,’ she said. ‘Can you believe that?
