Mason went to his window to look outside like he usually did. Since he was cooped up at home all day writing, the window was his only source of outside world he allowed himself. It wasn’t because he didn’t like going outside, he just preferred working instead.
‘If Lucas is going to be searching for another job then I should work some extra hours to make sure we have enough for next month’s rent.’ Mason thought to himself as he stared blankly outside the window. It was true that the man was significantly overworking himself to make ends meet for both of them. If he didn’t have to pay both their expenses then he’d have a lot leftover and wouldn’t worry about money at all. But since that wasn’t the case he was always thinking of what’s coming next.
