The moment the masked man lunged toward Richard with a gleaming knife in hand, the atmosphere in the room grew thick, tense to the point of suffocation. Richard only had time to notice the flash of the blade in the air before hearing the whoosh of wind as the attacker swung his arm with great force. The knife cut through the air, but Richard managed to dodge, the blade almost striking his neck. The cold sensation from the knife grazing his skin made him inhale sharply, but Richard merely curled his lip, showing no fear. A flash of memory surged through his mind, back to the time when he first entered prison. Like so many others, he had been just another prisoner.
