Chapter 11
Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know what it's like being taken. I have not experienced this all before. I huffed and said nothing.
"Alright, we're here!" We pulled up to the most terrifying place I have seen in my life. It was a small medium sized home. It had a garage and a driveway made out of rocks. The windows were covered in a tinted plastic. The door was a mix of brown, black and white scrapings of paint. Yet, your wondering why I thought it was so terrifying itself. It was not the awkward door or the suspiciously tinted windows. It was the fact that I had no clue how long I would be staying in this, place. For one second I will not call it a home. I could be here for days, weeks, months. I just didn't know, and that's what scared me.
"Your palace awaits, my princess," He bowed and opened the car door. I rolled my eyes and exited. I looked down the road to the neighboring houses. No one was outside that I could get their attention. Well, at least he didn't lived in the middle of nowhere. I have a better chance of escaping.
I couldn't tell if I was close to my home. We couldn't be that far since we only drove about 10 minutes away from the library. The places around here though did not look anything like my development. My house was semi fancy. This place was obviously nothing close to even being called classy.
I drifted off whilst looking down the road.
"Don't even think about going anywhere little missy!" He grabbed my arm viciously. I shot a look up at him. His eyes were totally serious. His teeth were gritted tightly, clearly trying to restrain himself. This man was not fooling around. He was not just playing a game of kidnap the kid.
I released my will to try and run. I gave in to him. He threw me over his back just like he did in the parking lot a bit ago. We arrived in his house. There was an unsettling smell amoung the air. It was rancid! I crumpled up my nose in disgust. But that was not the worst. The first room we came into was the living room. Yet it seemed as if nothing could simply ever live in here. The carpet was a musky brown, filled with stains of all kind on it. I don't know if I was hallucinating or not, but I swore I saw a few specks of dried blood. There was a huge brown recliner in the corner. A wooden stool was also in there. A television was in the front center of the room. I could see what he had done to the windows now that I was inside. He tacked down garbage bags over the windows so no light entered the room. Some young girl toys were piled in a box. I peered into the following room which was a kitchen. There were piles of food on the counter. The fridge was huge. It was weird to think that he just lived alone and had all this.
"She's here!" Oh, right. That person who he was talking on the phone with. So he's not exactly alone.
"Coming!" I heard big, clacky heels coming down the hallway. I saw a very beautiful women before me. She had choppy short brown hair. Her brown eyes lit up the whole room. She wore a simple t shirt and jeans. She also surprisingly seemed very friendly.
"Crystal, Frankie. Frankie, Crystal." Frankie put out her hand for me to shake. I stared at it blankly. She seemed sad that I ignored just her stupid little hand shake. She blushed.
"Well, I'm Frankie. We're going to be spending some time together Crystal." Her voice was hushed and calmed. It was even almost scared. Maybe she was the prisoner of him too. That would be awful, since she seems so kind.
"Alright, sit down and we'll explain the ..rules." I searched around for a comfortable place to sit. I was not sitting on this replusive carpet. But before I knew it Adam already swooped around and forced me onto the ground.
"Wait, so what can I call you, really?" I asked. I just mentally accidentally called him Adam again.
"Hm. I certainly don't want you knowing my real name. So you can call me..Jay. That seems good enough." Him and Frankie nodded at each other in agreement. Jay was sitting in the recliner, and Frankie on the wooden stool. I guess Jay would be okay to call him.
"Now, the first rule. Do. Not. Leave. Pretty simple?" He paused between each word. "Don't even attempt it because you will fail. And if you attempt, there will be consequences." I started getting real darn scared now. Consequences? Like what?
"You will find you what those consequences or punishments are when you disobey." Frankie chimed in. Somehow she still managed to sound sweet when she said that. I don't really know how she did it, but she did.
"No screaming or yelling at all. You will be repremended if you do so." I bit my lip. I knew that I would definitely scream or yell sometime during my however long stay here. When I panicked, I expressed myself through screaming. This is going to be difficult for me. But I will have to find a way to break my habits. Because these habits may just cause me my life.
"Do not steal from us. Our stuff is our stuff, and your stuff is yours." Jay said with a smile.
"I don't have any belongings here with me." I said.
"We will give you some things if you are good." Frankie said. She reached down and tried to pat my shoulder. Luckily I crawled away on the carpet fast enough to avoid her.
"Do not ask for things. Like Frankie just said, we will reward you if you are good." I scanned the room once again. I can not imagine now how long I will be here. But I really hope it's not long. I don't know if I can really do this.
"Listen to what we say at all times." Frankie said. After that they both just silently looked at each other.
"I guess that's it. Oh, yes. We must also know where you are in your home at all times." he said. Home. This is not my home.
"Opps, I forgot to take off my sunglasses." Jay slowly slid them off his face. But I sheilded my eyes from seeing his. I did not want to look at them. I could not look at them. I could not bare it. I could not even force myself to look my kidnapper in the eyes.
