I felt his teeth break the delicate skin on my neck. I felt a painful sting at first, but then it began to subside and turn into the familiar sparks. My brain was having a hard time processing what was going on.
Finally I realized what he had done; he had marked me, without my permission. I felt my anger rise as I felt him lap at the blood from the mark. I placed my hands on his chest and pushed as hard as I could. He stumbled back in surprise.
I could feel tears forming in my eyes from my anger. I had to get out of there before I started to cry. I didn’t bother to look around me, or at Leo, I just ran as fast as I could up out of the kitchen and up the stairs.
“Eva, wait!” I heard Leo call from behind me. I couldn’t stop, not only was I crying, but I was starting to see black spots.
