ANYA’S POV
The Alpha patted my back and left our midst while I was left alone with the triplets.
I lowered my eyes and fiddled with my fingers as I couldn't bear the lingering stares on me. The fact that I couldn't tell what was going through their mind during the awkward silence that reigned in our midst, made me feel uncomfortable.
Then the triplets moved closer to me, and they all leaned closer. Two of them sniffed close to the back of my ears while the last one sniffed my neck.
Not a single breath passed through my nostrils as I stood frozen unable to move because of how close they were.
Then they withdrew instantly.
“There's no way this is going to work.” Andy uttered in total disgust as he squeezed his face and shook his head.
My eyeballs danced left and right as I wondered why the trio all had irritated looks on.
“You aren't even hot enough to warm our beds.” Adrian spoke, and scoffed.
“You aren't worth our play-thing.” Andrew said as he circled around me, taking slow steps. “You are going to be just our maid.” He informed me.
I felt relief wash through me like a wave on the beach, and could feel all the tension that had built up in me as a result of them sniffing me; release.
Then they walked away without any more words from them.
It wasn't like I wished to be anything more than a maid to them. I disliked their guts and everything about them starting from when they stared at me like I was nothing.
My only wish now was to escape from this place which was certain to be nothing less than a prison.
I let out a relieved sigh and looked around at the large living room, wondering what was next or if I was going to stand there all day, staring like a dummy.
“Hello. I'm Rosa, the head maid. This way, please.” I heard a motherly voice from behind me, and turned to look back.
She gestured for me to follow her and I sniffled, then followed after her while staring at each place we passed in awe.
“You'll get used to the young masters at some point. But for now, I'll advise that you do not step on their toes.” The woman said, and then halted before a door.
“You will stay here until it has been decided which exact room you'll be sharing with the other maids.” The woman informed me and pulled down the door knob, then pushed the door open.
I took steps forward, looking left and right as I stepped into the room and I heard the door shut behind me.
I walked further and sat on the small sized bed which was provided. It meant this was just a temporary room until they were certain of which room I was meant to stay in.
Well, their arrangements or how they did things here wasn't what bothered me. It was the fact that my 18th birthday was in a week, and there was no ray of hope for me.
I got so sick to the stomach as anxiousness ate at my soul gradually.
The fear of turning feral, getting kicked out of the pack or even perhaps rogue wolves eating me up made me shrug.
I allowed myself bounce my back on the bed and stared at the ceiling hopelessly.
~
Later that night, the woman came to lead me to the room which I was meant to stay in.
“So, you'll be staying with the maids in this room. Welcome.” The woman informed me with a smile and then left.
“Welcome, I'm Dana.” One of the maids rose to her feet and extended a handshake to me.
I received her handshake with an awkward smile, and the others also welcomed me and pointed to my space.
It was also a small-sized bed, but it was smaller than the room I waited at; in the first place.
While the others giggled and had a fun night chatting about different things, I laid on my bed, wallowing in my worries and sorrows.
There was no way I could manage to live my life here. The only thing I could think of was to escape. Yes. That's the only solution.
I stared at the ceiling, waiting patiently as time ticked by, and the other maids began to doze off one after the other at interval times.
When they had all fallen asleep, I sat up and took in a deep breath as I knew that what I was about to do was risky.
“I hope not to get caught.” I said under my breath and rose to my feet, then headed towards the window.
I managed to push it open without making a noise, and fresh breeze blew at my face. I closed my eyes to feel the refreshing night breeze and then looked down after a moment of closing my eyes.
One good news was that the window wasn't far from the ground. I glanced back to be certain no one had woken up, then sat on the window’s rail with both legs at each side.
I ensured to find a part to place my foot on, and then I looked down, scanning around for guards if there were any around here.
“Clear.” I uttered under my breath as I didn't spot any of them.
Then I jumped down and quickly scanned around again to be sure no one heard the noise. My heart was practically beating fast and it felt like it could bounce out of my mouth if I set my eyes on anyone staring at me.
Thankfully, I wasn't with any luggage, so that was going to ease my movement. I bent a little while walking hastily, looking left and right to ensure I wasn't missing anyone who could spot me.
While walking fast, I managed to get out of the palace’s main building, but I was still in the palace's surroundings.
I looked forward and saw the big gates where we passed through when coming from my pack today, and joy filled my heart as I felt freedom right at the tip of my fingers.
Finally. I was going to leave this place, and probably go back to my parents to beg and prove to them of my innocence.
“You're on duty tomorrow's evening as well.” I suddenly heard a husky voice in the distance and quickly hid behind a corner.
They were guards chatting randomly. Moon goddess, please let them pass me by.
“Wow! Look who is here .” I heard the second one speak, and I began to feel uneasy especially because their voice sounded like they were close.
I looked up with nervousness and to my shock, they were standing right before me.
“What do we have here?” The first guard spoke, with a wide smile, and stared at me with lustful eyes.
“Please! Spare me.” I pleaded with them, rubbing my palms together as I was at a dead end, and no where else to escape to.
“Oh, yeah we will.” They said and grabbed me by my shoulder.
The first guard carried me while covering my mouth with his hands.
I screamed, but my screams only came out as muffled sounds.
“Please don't take me back there.” I pleaded earnestly, but my plea fell on deaf ears.
I noticed they weren't heading back to the palace, and I became confused on where they were taking me to.
“Where are you taking me to?” I asked, with trembling voice.
“Right here.” The second guard responded, and then the first guard dropped me on the floor in a corner around the garden.
I tried to stand, but they held me back down on the floor, then the first guard pinned me down and covered my mouth as well.
“Let me go! Let me go!” I screamed out loud, struggling to set myself free from their grip.
The first guard gave me kisses around my cheeks and forehead while the second guard laughed mockingly as he unbuckled his belt, and pulled down his pants, ready to lie on me.
“No! No! Let me go!” I yelled, trying to move, but their hands were heavy on me.
“Stay still, you b***h!” The second guard scolded and hit me with his large palm.
“Stop!” I heard a familiar voice interfere.
“Young Master.” Both guards voiced out and quickly rose to their feet.
Tears strolled down my eyes as I sat up, wrapping my arms around myself, feeling a little shaken.
“Leave.” The voice ordered, and I looked up only to realize it was Adrian, one of the triplets.
“Yes, Young Master.” The guards uttered with a bow and hurried away.
Then he turned to me with a straight face, and I lowered my eyes in fear, wondering what he was going to say, knowing fully well that I had tried to escape.
“Would you rather have me kill you right now or allow my father order the guards to do so?”
I raised my head immediately and rose on my knees quickly, rubbing my palms desperately.
“Please. Please spare me.” I pleaded earnestly with tears filling my eyes up.
“What's your age?” He asked, out of the blue.
“I’ll be 18 soon.” I responded with trembling lips, still feeling very much under pressure.
“Follow me.” He uttered, and turned around, heading back to the palace.
I quickly rose to my feet and followed after him until we got back to the palace's main building. He walked up the stairs and I stood just at the spot I was at the first time I came here.
“What are you doing? Follow me.” He ordered with a raised brow.
My heart skipped a beat in anxiousness. Was I perhaps following him to his room? I climbed the stairs cautiously and followed him until we got to a room.
I hesitated before going in, but I knew doing that could only make him annoyed and probably change his mind on saving me from death.
As I walked in, the other two stared at me, and I couldn't tell what exactly was going on in their minds, but I feared that they wanted to complete what those guards wanted to do with me.
Adrian pulled off his t-shirt and laid on the bed, and my heart kept beating fast in anxiousness that he was going to call me to warm his bed.
“Massage me.” He husked out and I stiffened.
“Huh?!” I whispered, quite taken aback.
“You heard me right.”
I walked up to him immediately, placed my hands on his back and began to massage it softly.
He cleared his throat before ordering me to practically climb on his back and do it from there, and my cheeks flamed as I tried refusing but after he leveled me with an unimpressed look, I hurriedly did as told.
Although, I could still feel the other two staring at me, and while that was awkward, I couldn't help but feel a wave of relief wash away my tension.
They hadn't tried to r**e me. I was of no use to them practically, and it only made me wonder why exactly he saved me especially after showing his disgust for me earlier today.
