The sound of my alarm was what pulled me out of a restless sleep. I groaned, dragging myself out of bed.
School. A place I had once looked forward to going to, now felt like a burden, all because of one person—Ben. My ex. My nightmare in human form.
I used to wake up excited about class, but ever since I found out he was one of my lecturers, my mornings had grown heavier. Especially on days like this—days I knew I’d have to sit through his class. Yay me.
I took my bath and began getting ready for school.
Now, I stood in front of the mirror, brushing my hair with slow but deliberate strokes. “You’re fine Adriana,” I whispered to my self in the mirror. “It’s just one class.”
