EPISODE 6 HOW TO GET HIM-2

1609 Words
CALIFORNIA: SAN FRANCISCO, THE ANDERSON’S MANSION. EMORY’S POV Emory could be seen moving in her sleep, like someone scared of something; she was having a dream. In the dream, little Emory could be seen hiding under the table, crying. She peeped and saw a man thrashing a woman so hard. "Mum!" she cried softly, covering her mouth so her voice wouldn't be heard. The woman, who happened to be pregnant, was screaming in pain. "You slut, come here!" the man dragged the woman as she tried to run. "Daniel, I am sorry, please stop hitting me, it hurts," Emory's mom said to the man, who happened to be her husband. Little Emory could no longer watch her mother in pain. She came rushing towards the man and bit him hard on his leg. "What the f**k?!" her father exclaimed, looking down to see her. He angrily dragged her by her hair and slapped her hard. He grabbed her hair more tightly and took his belt from his waist, flogging her mercilessly. Emory's mother, who was barely conscious, rushed towards Emory and covered her. The man, unmindful, kept flogging both of them. "b***h!" he cursed, stomping on Emory's mother's stomach. "Ahhrg, ahhhrg!" the poor lady screamed and lost consciousness. The man, angry, left the house. "Mum, mum, mum! Wake up!" Emory cried, tapping her mother. Meanwhile, the woman was bleeding profusely. The door to the house opened, and a lady rushed in - who happened to be Rachael's mom. She saw the bad condition the woman was in and quickly rushed out to call for help. "Help, my mum, please!" little Emory cried. "Mum, wake up, mum wake up," she muttered through her sleep. "Mum!!!!" she screamed and woke up panting. I ran my hand through my hair as I properly sat down on the bed. The thought of the dream I just had lingered on my mind. If not for Rachael's mom, my mom would have died that day. Since he left the house that particular day, he never came back again. He didn't bother to check if my poor mom was alive or the baby. The impact of that beating made her go into early labor, and she gave birth to my little sister, Stella. The last I heard of him was that he got married again, and I was happy that he left our lives for good. My mom moved on, focused on us and her career, and I must say that I'm very proud of the woman she has become. Rachael's mom and my mom were good friends, hence our close friendship. I took my phone from the shelf near my bed and checked the time. "f**k, 12:00 a.m.!" I exclaimed. "When can I ever have good sleep?" I asked no one in particular. I recalled that I took Austin's number from him and stood up, walking to the small cushion where I left my handbag. I took out the paper with his number; even his writing is sexy, I muttered to myself. I quickly typed in the number on my phone and saved it as "MINE." I logged into w******p and texted him, "Hi." He texted back, "Hello." "Good morning, you're still up?" I texted. "Who is this?" he texted. "Emory," I texted back. "Why are you up by this time?" he texted. "Same reason you are," I texted back, smiling sheepishly to myself. He sent a laughing emoji. "I was about to go offline before you texted. Let's continue tomorrow," he texted. "Oooh," I muttered. "Sure," I texted back. I wanted to text the girls, but I realized they would be sleeping. "f**k," I sighed in frustration. I knew I wasn't going to sleep again, so I took my phone and logged into i********: to while away my time. THE DIAMOND’S MANSION. AUSTIN’S POV I was just about to go to sleep after going through what I was going to teach for the next day when I got a notification on my phone. It was a message from an unknown number. "Hi," the person texted. "Hello," I texted back. "Good morning, you're still up?" the person texted. "Who is this?" I texted back, thinking of who I might have given my number to. "Emory" immediately chimed into my mind. Immediately, the person texted back, "Emory." "I thought so," I said to myself. I didn't bother to save her number because I didn't want to form any relationship with a student. "Why are you still up by this time?" I texted back. "Same reason you are," she texted back. I chuckled; she's quite a crazy one. I reacted to the message with a laughing emoji. "I was about to go offline before you texted. Let's continue tomorrow," I texted back because I was already feeling sleepy. "Sure," she texted back. "Just 'sure'?" I thought to myself. The normal Emory would have asked more questions. "You don't even know her that much," my subconscious said. True, I thought. I immediately went offline, wishing for the end of the university break to end soon so that I could go back to school. I have an apartment in school where I stay alone; I love my privacy so much. Sometimes Anna sleeps over. But why was Emory awake? I thought, as Emory chimed into my mind again. EMORY’S POV Since I couldn't sleep, I whiled away time until it was time to prepare for school. I dropped my phone and got down from the bed, taking off my nightgown and revealing my nakedness. I walked to the mirror and smiled, looking at my reflection. My breasts were standing firm, pointing at me. I loved being clean, so I was neatly shaved. My body had no stretch marks, apart from the little marks that showed signs of being whipped on my back. My body was very slow in healing, which was why I was always careful not to get hurt. I walked into the bathroom, stood under the shower, and turned it on. As the water flowed down my body, "f**k, so cold!" I cursed, regretting not using warm water. I finished and left, walking into my room naked and going to the little wardrobe where my towels were neatly folded. I took one and dabbed my body with it. Sitting down on the bed, I took my cream and gently applied the lotion to my body. I walked to my clothes wardrobe and laid my hands on a skimpy skirt and a navy top. I bent down and picked a high-heeled shoe from my shoe collection. I quickly put on everything and applied a little lip gloss to my lips. "Beautiful as always," I said, checking myself out in the mirror. I walked out of my room, heading to the dining area. On getting there, I met my mom and sister already having dinner. "You're up early?" Mom asked. "Yeah, I couldn't sleep," I responded. I sat down, and Rosita served my breakfast. "Kid!" I spoke to Lily, my younger sister. "I'm not a kid," she responded, already annoyed. "Duh, you are," I said, teasing her more. "I'm 13 years old," she responded. "That doesn't make you an adult," I said. "Stop teasing Lily, Emory," Mom said. We all finished, and Mom drove Lily to school while I drove myself. I parked my car and got down, seeing Rachael and Riana's car already parked. "Early bitches," I muttered to myself. I walked directly to my class, went up to the girls, and sat down. "Baby doll, you look beautiful," Rachael said. "Thanks, Mother Hen," I replied. "I want this skirt; it looks so hot on you. It just brings out your perfect hot legs," Riana said. "You can come pull it off me and have it," I replied, jokingly. She playfully stood up, trying to pull the skirt off me. "I was just joking," I said. "Better," she retorted. "I texted Austin," I told the girls. "How did it go?" they asked. "Nothing much," I responded, showing them my chat with him. While they were still going through it, the mathematics teacher walked in - a male teacher. "f**k," I cursed. "Just ignore him; you'll still top the class," Rachael said. "Yes, ma'am," I responded. The day soon came to an end, and I didn't see Mr. Austin throughout. "I guess he's busy," I mumbled to myself as I drove off. Upon getting home, I saw Rosita in the kitchen preparing lunch. I greeted her and walked straight to my room to freshen up. Afterward, I came downstairs and met Lily in the living room watching a cartoon. I grabbed the remote from her and switched the channel to a fashion show. "I was watching that!" she exclaimed. "I want to watch this," I said. "You're so mean!" she retorted angrily. "Yeah, I know," I teased. She angrily stood up and went upstairs to her room. "I love you!" I shouted after her. "I hate you!" she screamed. I focused on the show. "Rosita, get me my favorite ice cream," I called out. Minutes later, she came back with a strawberry-flavored ice cream. "Thanks," I mouthed, as she left. I took my phone and texted Austin. "I didn't see you today," I texted. He was online, so he responded. "I was busy," he texted. "How was your day?" I texted. "Cool," he texted. "Yours?" he texted. "Boring because I didn't see you," I texted back. "Ooh," he texted back. "What do you do for fun?" I texted. "Reading, dancing, and music," he texted back. "Cool," I texted back. And just like that, I got so engrossed texting him.
