(Lily's pov)
Lily, report to the principal's office now, Mrs Rose said as she shouted at me angrily.I groggily got up from my seat, rubbing the sleep from my eyes, Mrs Rose's shrill voice still echoed in my ears.
I reluctantly made my way to the principal's office, feeling the weight of my classmates' stares. When I arrived, Mrs. Kingston looked up from her desk, a stern expression on her face.
"Lily, I've received reports that you're not paying attention in class and sleeping off. What's going on? You're not taking your education seriously, and your grades are going to suffer drastically."
I hung my head in shame, apologizing profusely. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Kingston. It won't happen again."
After what felt like an eternity, I was dismissed from the principal's office. As I walked out, I was greeted by my friend Eva, who was holding my bag and grinning mischievously.
"Hey, big head, you've gotten yourself into trouble again!" she teased, chuckling.
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. Eva was the only one who had befriended me since I started at Springdale High School. The others seemed to think I was weird, but Eva didn't care. She liked me for who I was, and I appreciated that.
Eva held out my bag, and I took it from her, smiling. "Hey, thanks for having my back, Eva."
We headed to the cafeteria for lunch, chatting and laughing together. As we walked to the cafeteria for lunch, Eva and I started gossiping about school.
"Hey, have you heard about Tiffany and her crew?" Eva asked, raising an eyebrow.
I shook my head, intrigued. "No, what's going on?"
Eva leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Apparently, they've been bullying some of the freshmen. I heard they're really mean to them, making their lives miserable."
I frowned, feeling a surge of anger. "That's terrible. We should do something about it."
Eva nodded in agreement. "I know, right? But it's hard to stand up to Tiffany and her crew. They're really popular, and they think they can get away with anything."
I scoffed, feeling a sense of disgust. "Just because they're popular doesn't mean they can bully people. We should report them to the principal."
Eva hesitated, looking uncertain. "I don't know, Lily. I don't want to be a snitch."
I understood Eva's concerns, but I knew that we had to do something. "We're not being snitches, Eva. We're standing up for what's right. We can't just sit back and let Tiffany and her crew bully people."
Eva nodded, looking determined. "You're right, Lily. Let's do something about it."
As we finished our lunch and headed to our next class, I felt a sense of pride and purpose. Eva and I were going to stand up to oppose Tiffany and her crew, and we were going to make a difference. We both went to Mrs Kingston's office and reported Tiffany, and she promised to do something about it.
After lunch, we parted ways, each of us heading to our respective classes.
As the school day drew to a close, I made my way home, eager to see my mom. She has always been there for me, ever since my dad passed away. She worked tirelessly to provide for me, managing a small business to make ends meet and even pay for my tuition at Dale High School.
When I arrived home, I rushed to hug my mom, feeling a sense of comfort and security in her arms. She has always been my rock, my confidante, and my best friend.
"Hey, sweetie, how was your day?" she asked, holding me at arm's length and studying my face.
I shrugged, feeling a bit sheepish. "It was okay, I guess. I got in trouble with Mrs. Rose again."
My mom's expression turned sympathetic. "What happened this time?"
I sighed, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I fell asleep in class. Again."
My mom chuckled. "Well, maybe you're just not getting enough sleep, huh?"
I nodded, feeling a bit defensive. "I know, Mom. It's just... I don't know, I've been having these weird dreams lately, and they're really vivid. I feel like I'm living another life or something."
My mom's expression turned serious. "What kind of dreams, sweetie?"
I hesitated, feeling a bit unsure of how to explain. "I don't know, Mom. They're just...really real, I guess. I feel like I'm running through a loop. At times, I see the figure of a ferocious looking wolf. It's kinda weird."
My mom nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe you're just stressed out, sweetie. Or maybe you're just tapping into your creative side."
I nodded, feeling a bit better. Maybe my mom was right. Maybe I was just stressed out or creative.
But as I went to my room to start my homework, I couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more to these dreams. Something that I couldn't quite explain.
And as I sat on my bed, staring blankly at my textbook, I felt a strange sensation wash over me. It was like a buzzing in my veins, a tingling in my fingers.
I looked down at my hands, feeling a sense of wonder. They were glowing, ever so slightly. And I could feel a power coursing through me, a power that I couldn't quite explain.
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized something was happening to me.
