I stared at Lucas intently without taking my eyes off him even for a second as he stood there looking like he didn't understand anything about what I had just asked him.
“I said, how did you know we were there when the blast happened?” I recounted my question.
“What are you talking about, I thought almost everyone knew about it” he said, still with a blank look on his face.
“Lucas, no one else knows about it except our parents and the cops. Nothing has been announced publicly.” I looked at him dreading what I was beginning to think of. My heart racing after every second that passes by. He stared at me intently before he inhaled deeply.
