When I entered my office with Jake hot on my tail, I could not help but feel as if my world was crashing down on me. How tables had turned so fast was still a fact that I could not get to terms with. How was I going to put up with his presence? He reminded me of the misery I went through, his betrayal when he chose to side with the world against me. How could I just pretend it didn’t happen and start having a cordial business relationship? I thought I could tolerate him but I just can’t. I will have to talk to Paps to find someone who can handle this project and anyways it was time I took my maternity leave.
“Jake, in as much as you think we should work together in overseeing this project, I don’t think I can. It's high time I took my maternity leave.” I said.
