family movements

The palace It was evening, and the family sat together in the palace garden. The sky was turning orange and pink, and a cool breeze moved through the trees. Soft lamps were placed around the garden, giving a warm light to the flowers and pathways. Agnivardhan sat quietly, enjoying the calm air after a long day. Vyomraj was lying back on the grass, playing with a small leaf, looking relaxed but still full of energy. Nayantara sat between her parents, her soft presence making the place feel peaceful. Their mother smiled gently as she looked around. “It’s nice to sit together like this.” Vyomraj stretched his arms. “Finally! A moment without rules.” Agnivardhan gave him a look. “You should follow some rules, at least sometimes.” Vyomraj laughed. “See? He can’t stop being serious, even in the garden!” Nayantara giggled softly. “Bhaiya, stop teasing.” Their father spoke in a calm voice, “Both of you behave. The evening is beautiful—enjoy it.” Nayantara looked at the flowers. “The garden looks so pretty today.” Her mother touched her hand. “Because you’re here, dear.” Agnivardhan nodded slowly. “It feels peaceful after a long time.” Vyomraj added with a grin, “That’s because I’m not causing trouble… yet.” Everyone laughed softly, the sound mixing with the rustle of leaves. The garden felt warm, gentle, and full of family love. No arguments, no hurry—just a quiet evening together. The family was enjoying the cool evening in the garden when a guard walked toward them, bowing respectfully. “My lord,” he said to Agnivardhan softly, “your best friend will be arriving tomorrow morning. He will reach at sunrise.” Agnivardhan looked up, his expression steady as always. But there was a small change—his eyes relaxed, a quiet softness appearing for a moment. Not too excited, not too emotional… just a subtle warmth only those who truly knew him would notice. “Oh,” he replied calmly, “he’s coming tomorrow. Good.” That was all. No big reaction—just a simple nod, the kind that still showed he was happy inside. While everyone focused on the guard’s words, Nayantara lowered her gaze. A gentle warmth spread across her cheeks— a quiet blush, soft and delicate. Her eyes softened, and a tiny flutter filled her chest. But no one saw it. Not her parents. Not Vyomraj. Not even Agnivardhan. She kept her expression calm, hiding everything perfectly, as if her heart had never reacted at all. Their mother said gently, “It will be nice to have a guest after some time.” Agnivardhan nodded. “Yes. He has been away for long.” His voice was simple, composed—his usual calm self. But there was a faint warmth in the way he said it, a warm thread woven through his steady tone. Their father added, “Make sure a room is prepared for him.” The guard bowed and left. The garden returned to its peaceful silence. Agnivardhan leaned back slightly, his face calm again. Vyomraj stretched out on the grass lazily. Nayantara sat quietly in the garden while her family continued talking. The moment the guard said that Agnivardhan’s best friend was coming tomorrow, something soft moved inside her. She didn’t say anything. She didn’t look up. She just sat there, thinking. He’s coming tomorrow… after so long. A small warm feeling touched her heart. Her cheeks turned a little pink, but she quickly looked away so no one would notice. While Vyomraj and her parents talked, Nayantara’s mind was somewhere else. She kept wondering what he would look like now, if he had changed, or if he would still smile the same way he used to. She held her hands together and stared at the flowers gently moving in the breeze. She didn’t tell anyone what she was thinking. It was her quiet secret. And she waited for tomorrow. After dinner, the family talked for a little while and then went to their rooms. The palace slowly became quiet. In his room, Agnivardhan lay on his bed, staring at the ceiling. His face was calm, but his mind wasn’t. He was thinking about Agnishka—her words, her smile, and the last time they met. In another room, Nayantara sat on her bed, holding her pillow softly. Her thoughts were filled with tomorrow, and the person who would arrive in the morning. On the other side of the hallway, Vyomraj slept peacefully, without any worries, lost in a deep and easy sleep. Under the same roof, three different hearts rested: Agnivardhan’s mind held Agnishka, while Nayantara’s heart waited for tomorrow. And Vyomraj? He simply slept, peaceful and carefree.
