SANDI Something was wrong. I had felt it all morning. As Shari and I made our way back toward the barn after spending hours weeding the vegetable garden, every step seemed to take more effort than the last. My entire body ached, my skin felt strangely hot, and an uncomfortable heaviness had settled over me. I tried to ignore it. Whatever this was, I could push through it. I had pushed through worse.
