Sandi By the time I finished, the deer carcass had been reduced to nothing but a pile of bones. Alpha Kayden’s platter, on the other hand, was overflowing with meat. I set my knife down and picked up the heavy tray. Zelda was waiting near the kitchen door. As I reached her, she gave me an apologetic smile. “I’m sorry you didn’t have time to change.” I glanced at the blood covering both of us and laughed. “Neither did you.” I shrugged. “Don’t worry.
