Sandi A knock on my door pulled me from my thoughts. I climbed off my bed and opened it. Zelda stood in the hallway with a smile on her face. “Dinner’s being served.” I frowned. “Here?” She laughed. “Nope. We’re having dinner in the kitchen.” I looked at her curiously. “Why?” “Because dinner is the one time of day when us working girls get to relax.” Her smile widened. “We get to talk, socialise, laugh and actually have some fun without worrying about one of the werewolves wandering in and ruining it.” That sounded almost too good to be true. “So we all cook?” “Well, of course.” She gave me a playful look. “Unless you’d rather stay in here and starve?” I laughed. “Point taken. Give me a second.” I grabbed my key, stepped into the hallway and locked my door behind me.
