Shari Sandi had been distracted all morning. Not the usual kind of distracted, either. She still worked hard, still did everything I asked, but her mind clearly wasn’t where her body was. Every few minutes, she’d drift off, her expression going distant before she’d suddenly blink and return to whatever task was in front of her. I’d noticed it enough times that I finally couldn’t ignore it. “Sandi, are you okay?” She looked up quickly. “Yeah.
