I stood in the barn thinking about what Shari and I had just witnessed. When I had first arrived here, Zelda had warned me that Alpha Kayden had killed girls before. But hearing about it and seeing it happen were two totally different things.
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that he had killed Bella like he had.
He was a monster after all.
He was a monster who was surrounded by other monsters. The same monsters who had killed my parents right in front of me. The same monsters who had happily helped to dispose of Bella's body.
"Sandi, are you okay?" Shari asked from somewhere behind me.
I turned towards her and saw that she was looking at me with a look of concern upon her face.
