“Wait a minute.”
Sandi stared at me, her eyebrows drawn together.
“So you’re telling me this Moon Goddess just makes decisions whenever she feels like it? She decides what’s best for everyone, and everybody else is just supposed to go along with it?”
I nodded.
“Pretty much.”
“And nobody questions her?”
“Not if they have any sense.”
Sandi gave me a look that suggested she thought I had completely lost my mind.
“That’s ridiculous.”
I laughed.
“Maybe. But I’d still be careful about being too dismissive of her. You don’t want to end up on the Moon Goddess’s bad side.”
Sandi snorted.
“Her bad side? What is she going to do? Give me a complete fuckwit for a fated mate like she did you?”

She laughed.
