I walked back inside and made my way into the kitchen. Zelda was standing right where I had left her. Walking over to her, I grabbed her elbow and said, "Come with me."
I led her out to the hallway and away from the prying eyes of the other kitchen girls. Once we were in the hallway, I pushed her up against the wall and said, "What the hell is wrong with you? I went outside to hand out punishment to that wretched girl, and I came back to find you standing in the exact same spot with your thumb up your ass. If you can't run the kitchen, then you are no longer of any use to me."
"I... I can run the kitchen, Kayden. You know I can. I have been running the kitchen for years," she whimpered.
My gaze hardened as I growled and asked her, "What the hell did you just call me?"
