The guy my boyfriend introduced to me named Rafa extended his hand for a handshake which I gladly accepted.
“Hello, I’m Arkin, nice to meet you.”
He was smiling when we ended the handshake and took each of our seats.
We were in an exclusive restaurant right at the heart of the bustling Metro Manila on a Saturday night—our first in the city.
My boyfriend beside me on my right as Rafa was sitting opposite us.
We just arrived earlier around mid afternoon and my boyfriend surprised me with a dinner courtesy of his best friend.
I wasn’t able to say no.
“So you’re real.”
I furrowed my brows at him then at my boyfriend who just shook his head.
“Don’t scare him, Rafa. I don’t want my boyfriend to be running off the hills this early in our relationship.”
