What Do You Want to Be When You Grow up?

Ah, the question that has plagued kids around the world since the moment they first started speaking. What do you want to be when you grow up? Eyes intent on you, lips smiling reassuringly, like you’re supposed to know what the hell you want to be when you have no idea what you want for dinner.
I’m guessing it should have told my parents I had issues, though. Till I turned ten and realized how twisted I was, I answered it with “I want to be X’s brother forever!” My mom and dad tried to tell me that was a given, but apparently it didn’t register.
