Twenty-nine Dani had always been lost in rock and rain. Her other life was a dream. This was reality. She was glad she couldn’t see anything as she scrambled her way back down the trail she had so laboriously climbed such a short time before. Gradually the rain began to ease, the sky get lighter. Above she heard the scrape of feet against rock and knew, the way she had always known, that Spook was almost on her again. Panic couldn’t be resisted.
