“Lisa is my first mate”
His words echoed in my mind again and again, giving rise to an unknown pain in my heart.
“What?” A whisper left from my mouth when I registered his words.

Panic crawled into my mind and my heart began to pound in my chest.
What does he mean?
Does that mean he loves her at the same time he loves me as well?
Is it even possible to have two mates?
Oh God! It’s messing with my mind.
“Yes, but I rejected her and now there is nothing between us.” He said calmly. “She is not my mate anymore and I have no feelings for her. I just love you and only you” he added sincerely.
I guess he saw the storm going inside me that is why he said these words, to calm me and reduce the anxiousness I am feeling.
