His Human Mate

Chapter 2

Emmett's POV

Shock is written all over her face. With eyes widened as saucers and mouth open due to shock, she looks so cute that I want to kiss her senselessly. But I controlled myself.

I am getting lost in the depth of her big hazel eyes filled with innocence. With her long brunette hairs, white smooth skin which look softer than feather, small heart shaped face, she looks like an angel.

My angel.

And her name is also very beautiful and suits her well, Hazel.

“What?” She muttered in her soft voice which is like a music to my ears.

“You heard me, be mine” I said again calmly though I don’t like to repeat myself.

Her expressions changed and she glared at me in anger, “no, are you crazy or what?” she hissed in anger.

I closed my eyes and took a long deep breath to calm my anger. No one has ever raised their voice at me or talked to me like this.

I don’t take disrespect from anyone. Once calmed, I opened them and looked at her.

“Looks like you don’t care about your cousin?” I asked slowly. All the colours drained from her face and fear replaced her previous anger.

“you can’t threaten me like this” she said and once again tears started streaming down from her eyes. My heart clenched seeing her tears, but I refused to show her any emotions.

I can’t let her see through me.

Even my wolf is feeling bad looking at her but he knows why I am doing this.

“I can and I am doing it” I said calmly.

“Why are you doing this, we don’t even know each other” her voice is getting weaker.

“We can get to know each other. It is not a problem” I said softly. No matter how many reasons she gives me, my mind won’t change.

But her next words caused anger to build inside me.

“I.. have a boyfriend” she said.

My jaw clenched in anger. She have a f**king boyfriend when she belongs to me. I felt my possessive self taking over. I gripped her jaw and pulled her face closer to mine.

Her breath hitched and she trembled a bit.

My wolf, Evan is also raged. He is more possessive than me. He is fighting to take control but I didn’t let him. She is not ready to know the truth.

I took a deep breath to calm myself. Her scent is helping me to calm down. But she is anything but calm. Her heart is beating so loudly that even I can hear it.

I can sense her fear.

“break up with him” I said calmly.

“What?... No” she refused and that’s it. My anger reached it’s peak. I held her arm roughly and made her stand, along with me.

“Beat him” I said and in the next moment, Seth started kicking Steve. My girl is crying and struggling to get out of my grip. My heart aches to see her like this, but I have to do this.

I won’t let the past to repeat again. This time I will make sure that she knows she is mine, only mine.

Rose is also thrashing in Kayden's grip, crying upon seeing her brother getting beaten up. But he brought it upon himself. He stole something of mine and now he is getting punished for it.

Only if he…..

I came out of my thoughts hearing her words, “Okay… I…. will do it.”

Seth looked at me and I nodded at him. He took a step away from Steve who is whimpering in pain.

“What will you do?” I asked looking straight into her hazel eyes filled with tears.

“Whatever you say, just let us go” she begged. I rested my one hand on her waist and wiped her face with other hand. I am sure she is feeling the sparks just like me.

“Remember it clearly, I don’t take betrayals well” I said. She shivered in my arm but nodded her head.

“Please let us go” she pleaded again. My heart broke knowing I am the cause of her tears.

“Seth and Jacob, take Steve to hospital” I said and saw her taking a breath of relief.

She tried to get out of my hold but I pulled her closer. She took a sharp breath and tried to wriggle in my arms. Her quivering lips are inviting me to devour them but I controlled.

Instead I placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Her body relaxed a bit. Of course, I am her mate. Even if she can’t feel it, she is supposed to feel safe with me.

“see you again” I said and took a step away from her.

I want to spend more time with her but I know she wants to go away from me. So I will let her go just for today because I made her cry so much. I really feel bad for doing it.

She turned towards Rose and they started walking. My eyes are focused on her retreating back.

I never thought that moon goddess will do something like this to me. I prayed so much that I don’t want a mate but she blessed me with one.

And the worst part is, she is a human. She is not even aware that I am asking her to give me something which already belongs to me, Her.

She is mine, and I will make sure it stays this way only.

“What was it?” Kayden, my beta asked me when they disappeared from our vision.

“What?” I asked giving my attention to him.

“You just make that human yours, forcefully” Max, my gamma said this time.

“I just claimed what is mine” I said. They frowned at first but soon realization hit them.

“is she your….”

“Yes, she is my mate” I said.

“wow… it’s good” Max said with happiness but Kayden looked worried and I clearly know why.

“She is a human” he pointed out.

“I know” I said. I also wish that if goddess wanted to bless me with a mate, couldn’t she gave me a she-wolf. Why a human mate?

For humans, relationships means nothing. They betray without thinking about others feeling. I have a best example of it, Kayden.

But for us, mate bond is very sacred bond. Though there are some wolves like Lisa who don’t respect the mate bond, but still many wolves respect it.

“when will you tell her, that you are a wolf and she is your mate?” Max asked.

“once I am sure she is trustworthy. Till then keep it secret that she is my mate” I said. They agreed without questioning anything.

I need to check whether she is worthy enough to be able to stand beside me and lead a pack. And the first qualification to become my Luna is, Loyalty.

She must be loyal to me and my pack. If she is not I will have to reject her. But I won’t.

I will make sure she learns to be loyal, by hook or by crook.

Another reason to keep the fact that she is my mate secret is her safety. If words spreads around about her being my mate, things will become dangerous for her. Especially because she is a human.

She will become target of my enemies.

It’s better no one knows about it until I decide to tell her everything and make her my Luna.

By now you must be aware that I am a wolf, and an Alpha at that.

I haven’t officially taken over our pack, Moon Knight Pack. My father is the Alpha but I am taking care of almost all the things as per my father’s command. I will be officially taking over after some time.

Ashwood town comes under our territory. Humans and wolves lives in this town. But humans are not aware of the fact that there are wolves living here.

We have to keep our identity hidden from humans, that’s the rule of our Kingdom. We can reveal our true self, only to our human mates.

“Let’s celebrate the good news then” Max said and we laughed at his excitement. He loves to party, clubbing and f**king woman. He have a very friendly personality.

“Let’s go” Kayden said and we started walking.

Kay, he is a bit quiet. But rude and arrogant just like me. We also like to f**k woman.

Don’t blame us, wolves are harmonious creatures.

“Will you be fine?” suddenly Kay asked me. He is my best friend and knows me the best.

“Hmm I will be, because I won’t make the same mistake again” I said assuring him. He nodded his head.

I am determined. This time I will be very careful. I won’t let Hazel hurt me like Lisa did.

But I feel bad for her. Because I know very well that the one who will be suffering because of my past is the woman I should love and protect,
