His Human Mate

Chapter 4

Emmett’s POV

“Who is this Brian?” I asked her, pinning her to the wall. I saw her running away from the garden area where I was punishing that bastard Daniel.

It is my territory and I don’t spare anyone who makes mistakes. I didn’t know that Hazel was present there.

If I knew I would have never let Valerie touch me like this. I didn’t expect her to kiss me suddenly. Before I could push her away my eyes locked with her hazel ones.

I saw tears in Hazel’s eyes which was like a stab in my heart. I made her cry again. I instantly pushed Val away. Ignoring that she was calling after me I followed Hazel.

But when I reached near washroom all my guilt and worries turned into anger when I heard her saying, “I miss you Brain”.

And the reply she got made me furious. Yes, because of my sharp werewolf hearing, I heard what that Brian said, “I miss you too love”.

How dare he? He referred my woman as love. No one has right to call her that. My hands balled in a fist and I feel like killing someone.

My blood is boiling in anger but I am waiting for her to tell who this Brian is.

I already have an idea who that Brian is. She told me that she have a boyfriend. It must be Brian. The thought of her being in relationship with someone else makes my wolf raged.

“let… let me… go” she stuttered while pushing me away. But she is not strong enough to do that. Her hazel eyes are staring at me with fear. I can hear her hear beat which is beating like a drum.

She is too scared.

“Answer me fir….” I couldn’t complete when her phone started ringing, interrupting me. It fell on the floor when I pushed her to the wall.

I bent down and picked it up. My anger increased tenfold when I read the caller's ID, 'Boyfriend' with a red heart.

I closed my eyes and leaned closer to inhale her scent to calm my raging wolf, Evan.

I guess she sensed my increasing anger because her fear increased. As a werewolf, I can sense people's fears.

I pulled away and looked at her face.

“he is Brain, right?” I said referring to the caller. Her face paled and she shook her head in no.

A lie!

A humourless chuckle left from my mouth and her body trembled. Even my pack members can’t stand it when I am angry so she must be scared to death.

I tried to keep my anger at bay, which is really difficult to do right now.

“I hate liars” I said calmly yet dangerously telling her that I know she is lying. She opened and closed her mouth like a fish but no words came out of her mouth.

Her phone rang again and this time I answered it and put it on speaker.

“what happened Hazel? What was that sound? Are you okay? Love why aren’t you saying anything?” he fired questions.

I can sense after hearing his voice, how worried he is about her. And it pissed me even more. Hazel opened her mouth to say something but closed it when I gave her a daring look.

“she didn’t answer because she is busy with me” I said through gritted teeth.

“who are you?” Brain asked from the other side.

The corner of my lips twitched upward slightly and I took a step in her direction. She tried to push herself more into wall while trying to push me away to maintain distance.

But I have no intention of keeping any distance from her.

Her breath hitched when I placed my lips on her delicate neck sensually. I am holding her phone in one hand while my other hand slid under her top. Her body stilled the moment my hand made contact with her skin.

I started trailing wet kisses on her neck while roaming my hand on her bare waist.

A moan left from her mouth. Her body is reacting to my touch. I can see my effects on her body. Even though she wants to push me away, she can’t. Mate Bond is really hard to resist even for humans.

Though they don’t feel the pull as strongly as wolves feel, but they can’t ignore it completely.

“What was that sound? Hazel what are you doing and who is he?” That f**ker asked in anger. He must have heard the moan. I wanted him to hear it.

“I… I..” she tried to speak but another moan left from her mouth when I bit on her neck before licking it. She is getting breathless. I pulled away, took a step back and looked at her flushed face.

“I am her boyfriend and we are alone in the female’s washroom. You can guess what we are doing but if you can’t, you can listen to her moans to find out” I said and in the next moment the call was disconnected.

Tears rolled down from her eyes while she glared at me.

“why…” she took a deep breath to stop her tears and said, “why did you… do that?” she asked accusingly.

“because you are mine and I don’t want any guy near you” I said. She balled her hands in fist beside her.

“I am not. I am not yours” she said and tried to take a step to the side, as I am standing in front of her. But before she could, I placed my hand on the wall, blocking her way. I placed my other hand as well on the wall, on the other side beside her head.

She is now caged between me and the wall.

My wolf tried to take control from me when he heard her words. But I didn’t let him. She is not ready to meet him.

“Do you know why I let your cousin go that day?” I asked. Her body froze. Sweat buds formed on her forehead and fresh tears filled in her eyes.

“Its because you agreed to be mine” I reminded her. “If you back out on your words I will also….”

She shut her eyes tightly understanding the threat behind my words. Her breathing became raged. Her small figure started trembling.

I sighed and started caressing her cheeks gently. After some time she relaxed and her breathing became normal. She opened her eyes and looked at me.

“If I… I refused….. to be you… yours then you… are going to…. hurt him again?” she asked in her broken voice. I saw pure fear in her eyes for her cousin.

I felt pang of hurt in my heart but I didn’t show any emotion to her.

“I have no reason to not hurt him again” I said. She took a sharp breath and said, “don’t hurt him, I will…. I will do what…. You want”. She said.

I feel bad for forcing her like this. But I have no other choice. I can’t bear the pain of betrayal again. Mate bond holds so much power that separating from your mate can even kill a wolf.

I have borne the pain of losing my mate once, I won’t be able to bear it again.

“Good, and I don’t want you to talk with Brain. If you do I won’t hesitate to kill him” I said and her eyes widened in shock and fear. She gulped visibly then nodded her head.

“Lets go” I said holding her hand and came out of washroom. “Do you have a class now?” I asked to which she replied with a yes.

I was about to say something when Kayden mind linked me and asked me to meet urgently.

“When will you be done with all classes?” I asked.

“At two” she said without looking at me. Her voice came out in just a mere whisper.

“Okay, go to your class I will meet you once you are done with all the lectures. Don’t leave without meeting me. And I warn you to leave the college unless you meet me” I said and she nodded again.

I left her hand. She turned around and left. I watched her retreating back. When she was gone I made my way to top floor of the college.

This floor is prohibited and only few people can go there including me. Only wolves from my pack can come here that too after taking permission either from me, Kayden or Max.

This is the place where I hang out with my friends in college and discuss some work related things as well in my free time. As an working Alpha of the pack, I have a lot of work and responsibilities on me.

We have opened a club room here named, The Wolves Club.

We don’t have to be worried about any human hearing about our talks, we are free here.

It wasn’t hard for me to open this club as my family owns this college.

I entered inside the club room. I saw Kayden, Max, Seth and Jacob are present here. Seth is my cousin and Jacob is a good friend of mine.

Daniel is also present here and his sister Sophia is also standing beside him. Everyone bowed in front of me when they saw me.

“it is the last time I am leaving you Daniel but next time I won’t spare you easily” I said.

“I love her” he said looking straight into my eyes. I raised my brow at him, at the same time Sophia nudged him with her elbow to look down.

I don’t mind my pack members looking directly in my eyes while talking. I don’t take it as a sign of disrespect. But I don’t like it when someone challenges my order. He averted his gaze and looked down.

I made my way to him and stood right in front him, “so you are saying you will again do it, huh?” I asked calmly.

“Alpha, I can’t live without her. I love her and I want her” he said still not meeting my gaze.

“How dare you disobey your Alpha” Kayden growled and was about to punch him when I stopped him.

“is she your mate?” I asked. He shook his head in no.

“Words” I gritted and he replied, “no Alpha”.

“ Then you can live without her. she is a human. You can’t force her to be with you like this. I would have understood you if she was your mate but she is not. Don’t do anything that will create trouble for my pack. I won’t tolerate it” I said.

He is in love with a woman who doesn’t share the same feelings like him. But he is not giving up on her. A wolf can’t have a human as chosen mate, it is not allowed. As we can only reveal our true identity to only those humans who are our fated mates, no one else.

And today he was forcing himself on that girl because she is not accepting his feelings.

Looking at his love, I would have allowed him to be with that human. I would have talked with elders and Alpha King of our kingdom if that woman was also in love with him.

But she is not. So it is the best if he forgets about her. Eventually there will be a day when he will find his fated mate. He just have to wait for that day.

“You will stay away from her” I told him clearly and turned around to leave when his voice stopped me, “I can’t”.

I turned around and held his throat in a tight grip, choking him while saying, “You. Will. Stay. The f**k. Away. From. Her” I said slowly growling at his face.

He gulped visibly and looked down in submission while muttering a “Yes Alpha”.

I left him with a jerk and he stumbled back.

“Leave” I commanded. He and Sophia left after bowing. I took few breaths to calm myself down. My wolf is already raged because of Hazel.

Her words, ‘I am not yours' are still ringing in my ears causing my blood to boil in anger. And now this bastard has increased my anger even more. I am completely pissed.

“What was that urgent matter?” I asked Kayden while sitting on the couch.

After that we got engrossed in pack related talk. It really helped my mind to divert from her words but her crying face was flashing in front of my eyes again and again.

You might be wondering why we are not attending lectures.

We don’t have any classes today after the morning lectures. That is why we are here.

“Lets go eat something, I am hungry” Max said when we were done discussing. I didn’t realize when hours passed while working.

“How much food do you eat, pig” Jacob commented and we all burst into laughter.

“Shut up Jacob” Max snarled at him. Ready to punch him.

“let’s go and eat, I skipped lunch as well” I said while getting up before they start a new fight.

I don’t know why they like to fight so much. We came out of the club room. Max and Jacob kept bickering while we were laughing when her alluring scent of roses and peaches hit my nostrils.

I roamed my eyes everywhere and a small smile formed on my lips when I saw her standing at the other side of corridor.

But soon that smile turned into an frown and then into anger.

Enraged by what I saw, a loud growl left from my mouth causing everyone to stop what they were doing and take a step away from me in fear,

“Don’t you dare touch her”
