Kyrshaw nodded. I turned and squared off with the large wall opposite the door. Then I drew my synth leg up, knee to chest, and let it go with an explosive push kick right through the wall. A chuck of mortar the size of my torso blew out into the courtyard beyond. Two more kicks and there was hole large enough to walk through. Beyond the door behind us I heard shouts of alarm. But I didn’t leave just yet. Instead, I waited until the first armed TA stuck his head through the door. He assumed we were already gone. But he assumed wrong. I grabbed him by the neck to yank him into the room, and then punched him a couple times just below the ribs, causing him to drop his rifle.
