Episode Eight Lightning grenades are beautiful things. That’s not their official designation, of course, but it’s what everyone calls them because the experience of their detonation both looks and sounds like a terrestrial lightning strike—a brilliant strobe of intense, white light accompanied by a deafening c***k of thunder. The combination makes lightning grenades an effective means of disorienting or incapacitating a group of targets, and I’ve found them helpful in a variety of situations during my work.
