I still remember the rota I learned Sayer Regent made a bullpup variant of their versatile 547 rifle. I was in this little, rundown shop when the man behind the counter offered me what he claimed was an SR 547. But the design was all wrong. It was shorter than a full 547, more compact, and the magazine was tucked at the back rather than ahead of the grip. So, I did a little research back at my ship and learned Sayer Regent had indeed made a version of their most popular g*n, with the same power and efficiency, compressed into a bullpup design. The only problem was that it didn’t sell. People didn’t want a bullpup variant because of the inherent weaknesses of the shorter frame.
