“Yeah, but I shot them back,” I replied, dropping into the gunnery seat with a wince as the ship rocked again. “How bad are things looking?”
“Bad,” she muttered, her attention pulled back to the navigational station.
“Looks like almost half of Zyser’s ships are drifting,” Alex added. “And a significant portion of the Oversight ships have converted to Maunhouser IDFs. But the Oversight station seems to have been unaffected. Their cannons are now hitting us hard.”
I growled something under my breath and initiated the full interface, so I could bring weapons’ targeting online. But I only managed a few hits before another particle cannon shot dissolved what was left of my rear-facing firepower.
