DISHONESTY–––––––– Kris’s house –––––––– Sian stared up at Dominic. She wondered what she could say that would persuade him to leave. But he walked closer and held out both hands. ‘I’m not going to hurt you, Sian,’ he said. But she’d heard this line before and she didn’t believe him. Dominic had been there; he had helped on several occasions when her ex had wanted to ‘persuade’ Sian to do as he said. She edged away from him on the sofa. ‘What do you want, Dominic?’ ‘I just want to talk to you.’ His eyes glinted as he spoke. ‘I need you to listen to me.’ ‘Kris will be back soon,’ she said.
