The sharp, hard chords of ‘You Really Got Me’ by the Kinks announced his entrance but nobody turned to look as he walked in. The music was coming from the cave at the back, where the Midnight Roses were playing, having reformed with Harry as lead singer. Pat walked past the bar and through to the cave at the back. He stood on the edge of the crowd, tall enough to look over heads. The room was packed and had that echoing, small feeling that you get with footage from the 60s in the Cavern Club.
