Chapter 10October 14th, Saturday Morning At some point I drifted off and felt guilty about that when Mom woke me the next morning. I didn't have to get ready for school but Mom was running errands so she woke me anyway. I wanted to go out and practice driving with her but I offered to stay with Nana instead. She didn't like Nana being alone for long in the house and after last night I agreed. "Are you feeling okay?" she asked before leaving. "Yes, Mom. Just tired. I couldn't sleep."
