Mall of the Dead Things turned Roland into the Jane Goodall of zombies, Logan said as the film started. I think he's right. It's a comment from the special features we watched later. Funny how events can change someone's life. It's clear from the interviews that Roland never set out to be the zombies' Goodall. Actually it isn't entirely the best description because it implies the zombies have an existence independent from the necromancer. If I learned anything from the first two movies it's that the necromancer is the source. Once the dead things are up they keep going no matter what, even after the necromancer is gone.
