Chapter 22October 15th, Sunday Morning The ride home was much nicer than the ride over to Trisha's house last night. No dead cats jumping out at me for one thing. Also the Sun was out and the morning felt bright and happy. I felt fairly safe from dead things. I'd negotiated with Trisha on the outfit. The flowing dress she'd wanted me to wear was beautiful but hardly appropriate for a ride on the bike. I could just see the pale fabric getting caught in my chain. Eventually we'd settled on a pair of jeans and pretty white shirt that was a bit too frilly for my taste and thin — the wind cut right through it — but it was nice.
