Chapter 25October 15th, Sunday Morning When I got back to town I thought about going the long way around but I was curious about the zombie in the alley. It wasn't that much of risk, I told myself. It wasn't as if I could hide from Lockwood at home. I lived here. He wouldn't be surprised to see me in town. I just had to stay calm if I did see him. It didn't take long to reach the shopping center. I stayed on the opposite side of the street and coasted past the alley, just taking a quick look. Crime scene tape had gone up around the portion where the zombie had been but he was gone. No one was around the scene. I peddled harder to pick up the pace.
