Marcus smiled as he looked at the message from Valerie. He went to the cafeteria for lunch. In the cafeteria, he picked out what he wanted to eat and looked around for a place to sit. He saw Dr. Pane and Dr. Carter seated at a table in the middle of the room and made his way over to the table.
“Do you gentlemen mind if I join you?” he asked.
“Help yourself,” said Dr. Pane. He motioned at the empty chair. “Are you all set for your days off?”
“Oh, yes,” said Marcus. “I have been planning this trip for days.”
“Where are you going?” asked Dr. Carter.
“I’m going to Rolling Fork. It’s about three hours from here. Are either of you familiar with it?”
