That day, after Gordein finished showing Max around the tribe's territory, the camp was still filled with whispers. Bonfires were lit at dusk, and the smell of grilled meat filled the air, stronger than it had been that morning. Almost all of the tribe's inhabitants gathered and sat under the fire, looking as if they were having a party. They were celebrating something Max didn't know, but they clearly looked happy. “While I'm confused in this place, they seem to be having fun.” He picked up a leaf and threw it away.
