“What are you doing outside, Miss?” Max stared at the fireplace and saw the faint shadow of someone sitting there, then got up and approached. Earlier, he had checked behind him. The place where the dry palm fronds lay spread out, and the two women were sleeping. He got up and sat down, blinking as he looked more closely. His eyes saw only Luna sleeping where Anna should have been, so he scanned the area and found the shadow outside.
