Chapter 3: The Unexpected Tutoring Sessions The problem was, Janelle wasn’t easily impressed. When Kiefer approached her for the first time, flashing his signature smile, she barely spared him a glance. “Do you need something?” she asked, clearly uninterested. “Actually, yeah,” he lied quickly. “I need a tutor.” She raised an eyebrow. “A tutor?” “I’m failing math, and I heard you’re the best,” he said smoothly. “Think you could help me?” Janelle hesitated. Tutoring was something she enjoyed, and Kiefer did look genuinely confused when he mentioned math. Against her better judgment, she sighed. “Fine,” she said. “Library. Tomorrow at 4 PM.
